Shirley J is an exclusive food products company that sells just-add-water soup bases, seasonings and bakery mixes. Our products have been time-tested by Master Chefs in commercial kitchens for more than 30 years!
After 30 years, the products that have been proven in the most demanding commercial kitchens are now available for every home chef.

1) Institutions such as cafeterias, restaurants, school districts, etc.
2) Gourmet retailers such as high-end cooking or kitchen stores
3) Direct to home through our Home Chef and Executive Chef programs
4) Direct to the public through walk-in, phone or web orders

What is the Home Chef Program?
A Shirley J Home Chef is a registered customer. There is no sign-up fee and no committment. By signing up as a Home Chef you are able to receive discounts on Shirley J products.
What is the Executive Chef Program?
At the heart, an Executive Chef is a Shirley J product reseller.
Shirley J Executive Chefs rely on the proven quality of the products, the ease-of-use, economy, nutrition and gourmet flavor to attract customers and create a flexible income.
Shirley J Exective Chef’s may receive “instant discounts” in the same way as a Home Chef, but also may receive residual rebates of up to 40% on all customers and Home Chefs they introduce Shirley J products to. Additionally, Shirley J Executive Chefs may earn additional “performance” bonuses as they introduce Shirley J products to more and more customers.
Shirley J Executive Chefs work at their own pace. There is no minimum activity required. Work a few hours a week, or full time. Take a break when you want and re-start when you want. There is no monthly requirement to be an Executive Chef, you always work at your own pace.
Shirley J does not rely on pressure, hype or obligatory selling. When people see our products demonstrated, they instantly see the benefits and an enthusiastic customer relationship begins. With Shirley J, the products always come first.
Shirley J Executive Chefs have the opportunity to participate in the Shirley J “Free Shipping” program as well as the Shirley J “Chef’s Club”.
To become a Shirley J Executive Chef, you must register with the company and pay a $25.00 inititation fee. Upon registration, an Exectutive Chef will receive an official Shirley J Executive Chef Handbook and other sales and promotional materials. Shirley J offers quality training and support.
Is Shirley J Universal Sauce high in sodium?
Our formulations are considered low sodium and are half of most common soups on the market.
What is the calorie content per serving on the cream sauce base? How many
calories are from fat?
Shirley J Universal Sauce has only 135 calories per 1 cup (prepared) serving with only 65 of those calories coming from fat. There are zero trans fat and zero saturated fats in Shirley J Universal Sauce!
How do your prices compare with those of other brands in the grocery stores?
Our full retail prices are anywhere from 5 to 14 times less expensive than competitive products.
Does Shirley J have a blog?

Why have your prices changed? We used to buy them cheaper.
Food prices fluctuate from time to time and are based on market conditions. Shirley J is dedicated to long-term sustainable growth, therefore we will need to make pricing adjustments from time to time as the costs of ingredients or manufacturing change. We try and give our customers 30 days notice prior to any pricing adjustments.
Does Shirley J add any MSG to their products?
None of Shirley J products have added MSG. MSG is a naturally occurring substance that is found in a lot of savory vegetables such as tomatoes, mushrooms, etc.
Are any of Shirley J Products Gluten Free?
Shirley J Beef and Chicken Bouillon are currently the only products that are gluten free. Any product that contains wheat, rye or barley contains gluten.
